Bourne Hall, a beautifully elegant Victorian Country House Hotel located in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight, and is set in mature grounds. The hotel was originally built in the late 1860’s said to be for one of Queen Victoria’s ladies in waiting. The “house” still retains its sense of history whilst providing a beautiful backdrop for your Civil Ceremony or Civil Partnership and/or reception, enjoying stunning sea-views of Shanklin Bay.
We understand that each Civil Ceremony and Partnership is a unique celebration, for which we have an experienced team on hand to help plan every stage of this magical day, ensuring that all goes smoothly. Let us take care of your important day and make it special in every way.
Under the marriage act of 1994, The drawing room, the Cameron Room and the marquee at the Bourne Hall Country House Hotel, are licensed to conduct Civil Ceremonies/Civil Partnerships. Bourne Hall also has the ability to offer to hold your ceremony on the terrace in the grounds.
The drawing room with its original Victorian features can hold up to 40 guests for the ceremony and provides the perfect setting for this special occasion. The Cameron Room can accommodate 100 seated and the marquee, 120 for your ceremony. Each of these rooms can also be utilised for your Wedding Breakfast or Evening Reception with seating to suit your requirements.
